About

Northland Players, Inc. was organized as a 50IC 3 non-profit community theater in 1971. For several years it performed in Cheboygan area high schools and in dinner theater at local restaurants. After the Cheboygan Opera House was restored in 1984, Northland Players began performing productions on the Opera House stage. Today we perform a musical production at the Opera House in the fall fall and two winter dinner theater productions at various venues.

In addition, we sponsor a Summer Youth Theater with a musical production in early summer at the Cheboygan Opera House.

Northland Noteables, a vocal ensemble comprised of players members, performs in dinner theater at Christmas and various other venues in the community throughout the year.

Northland Players has a theater center, which is the location for play rehearsals, construction of sets, and storage for theater costumes, props and records.

Membership is open to anyone over the age of eighteen years, having an interest in the theater experience. Our Angel Program provides an opportunity for individuals who are not interested in appearing on stage or working backstage to provide financial support to the Northland Players. Charitable donations will be receipted and “Angel” benefactors will be acknowledged in our play programs.
